Homeopathy Help Network (“HHN”), an initiative of HOHM Foundation, doing business as the Institute for the Advancement of Homeopathy, respects the privacy of the health information provided by our clients and website visitors.
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how HHN collects, uses, and shares consumer health data. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.
1. Consumer Health Data We Collect
Depending on the services you request, HHN may collect health-related information including:
- health concerns, symptoms, conditions, or diagnoses;
- health and medical history;
- medications, supplements, laboratory information, or other health-related information;
- information submitted through care requests, intake forms, consultations, or follow-up communications;
- information concerning palliative, hospice, or end-of-life circumstances;
- information indicating that you have requested or received services from HHN; and
- other health information you choose to provide to us.
2. Where We Get Health Information
We may receive consumer health data:
- directly from you;
- from a parent, guardian, caregiver, or other person acting on your behalf;
- from your HHN practitioner or authorized clinical supervisor; and
- from records or documents you choose to provide.
3. How We Use Health Information
We use consumer health data as reasonably necessary to:
- respond to requests for care;
- determine the appropriate HHN service or practitioner;
- provide consultations, case management, and follow-up;
- communicate with clients or authorized caregivers;
- support clinical supervision when applicable;
- administer clinic services, Care Grants, payments, and recordkeeping; and
- conduct research when separate research consent has been provided.
Research participation is voluntary and is handled through a separate consent process.
We will not collect or use additional categories of consumer health data, or use health data for materially different purposes, without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by applicable law.
4. How We Share Health Information
HHN may share consumer health data when reasonably necessary to provide or administer services you have requested.
Depending on the service, health information may be shared with:
- your assigned HHN practitioner;
- an authorized clinical supervisor;
- authorized HHN administrative or clinical personnel;
- HOHM Foundation / the Institute for the Advancement of Homeopathy;
- the Academy of Homeopathy Education when necessary for authorized clinical supervision or separately consented research;
- technology and service providers used to operate the clinic, including providers of forms, scheduling, communications, payments, recordkeeping, website hosting, and security; and
- other persons or organizations when authorized by you or required by law.
HHN does not sell consumer health data.
HHN does not intentionally provide consumer health data to advertising platforms for targeted advertising.
5. Your Consumer Health Data Rights
Where applicable, you may have the right to:
- confirm whether HHN is collecting, sharing, or selling consumer health data about you;
- access consumer health data HHN maintains about you;
- request information about third parties or affiliates with whom your consumer health data has been shared;
- withdraw consent to future collection or sharing when processing is based on your consent; and
- request deletion of consumer health data, subject to applicable legal exceptions and record-retention requirements.

If HHN declines to take action on a request and applicable law provides a right to appeal, you may reply to our decision and request a review.
6. Protecting Consumer Health Data
HHN limits access to consumer health data to individuals and service providers who reasonably need the information to provide or administer requested services.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality and security of consumer health data.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services, data practices, or legal requirements change. The most current version will be posted on this page with the date of the latest revision.
